Fawns are young deer, recognizable by their delicate build and white-spotted coats which provide camouflage in their woodland habitats. These gentle creatures are usually born in the spring and spend their early days hidden in tall grass or dense foliage. As they grow, they gradually lose their spots and become more independent, eventually joining the herd.
